New York, New York— 2026 iA — The Shaykh Hassan Aliou Cisse Grand Zawiyah of
North America, inspired by the luminous legacy of Shaykh Hassan Cissé (RA) and rooted in
the teachings of the Tijaniyya Sufi path, is set to officially open its doors in Harlem, New York
in 2026 In Shaa Allah.
The Grand Zawiyah will serve as a sacred space for social service, spiritual education, remembrance (dhikr), and community healing—continuing the work of the Grand Zawiyah of Medina Baye, Senegal, under the guidance of Shaykh Mahy Cissé.
“This Zawiyah will be a home for seekers of knowledge, remembrance, and love of the Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم, “said Kaba Abdul-Fattaah, representative of the Grand Zawiyah. “It will be a place where hearts find light and communities find direction.”
The Shaykh Hassan Aliou Cisse Grand Zawiyah of North America will offer weekly gatherings, Qur’an study circles, social service projects, and spaces that encourage connecting spiritually to the global network of Baye Niass followers and those who uphold the commitment of being in service to mankind.
