Location: TBA — On April 20, 2026, the Grand Zawiyah of America will host the 2nd Annual Grand Mawlid of America, a historic celebration honoring the birth of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم. The event will gather Muslims from across the world for an evening of sacred poetry, remembrance, and reflection on the mercy and light of the Belovedصلى الله عليه وسلم.

Held under the spiritual guidance of Shaykh Mahy Cissé, the Mawlid will feature international reciters, scholars, and artists whose works center on prophetic love, devotion, and community unity.

“The beating heart of the whole affair is love and we are sorely in need — this is a moment of beauty, a moment of gratitude, a moment of togetherness that we can carry with us along the path” said Amir Suliman.

The Grand Mawlid of America aims to revive the beautiful tradition of gathering in remembrance, bringing together diverse communities in praise of the Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلمthrough poetry, song, and dhikr.
